Tuscan Renaissance 11 | Custom Architectural Garage Door
This Tuscan-style garage door features rustic elements that are accentuated with the use of the rough Select Tight Knot Cedar lumber used to construct it. The garage door has a slightly arched top corresponding to the garage door opening which makes it a natural fit to the home’s architectural lines. To create the swinging carriage door effect trim pieces were used throughout the perimeter of the door with two vertical pieces running vertically through the middle to create the door division. Furthermore, authentic style hardware like the pull handles in the middle and round hammered clavos at the top and bottom of each vertical trim piece solidify the carriage door look. Finally, the door was stained in a dark oil rub finish that gives the effect of aged wood with slight hues of grays on the surface of the material.
